Terence Hill figurines

There are multiple ways for fans to show their love for Terence and the characters he portrays. The one we talk about here is certainly a very original one! Mauro Rota, an Italian collector of model soldiers, built several little statues of Terence in his roles of Trinity, Lucky Luke and Don Matteo.

Mauro, how did you get the idea to make those Terence figurines?
Well, I have been a fan of Terence ever since I was a young boy and I am a collector of model soldiers. One day, while watching one of the Trinity movies for the 100th time, I realized that it was boring to collect all those model soldiers, they all look very similar. I wanted to create something different in the world of model soldiers and figurines - and I was inspired by my favorite actor! The Trinity and Lucky Luke models won many prizes!

Especially the Trinity figurine looks very much like the 'original'. How could you reproduce it so perfectly?
It takes me around 50 hours to make one figurine from start to finish. All the Terence figurines are made of plaster. I also added some plastic and metal parts from model soldiers. Jolly Jumper, the horse of Lucky Luke, is made of plastic. Trinity's horse is made of metal. Don Matteo's bike was a lot of work to make because I had to remove all the spikes from its wheels.

I’m sure that all the Terence fans would like to know if you still have the figurines?
No, I don’t. I sold them to several collectors!

Mauro, thanks for showing us your great creations, do you know which figurine will be your next project?
Well, maybe the 'left hand of the devil'...
