On the set of Don Matteo 3:   page 1   page 2   page 3

We are in Don Matteo's kitchen where Natalina, the house-keeper, prepared the lunch some minutes ago. Today she seems to be nervous, she walks in very upset - like a bomb ready to explode... But what makes her behave like that? She is jealous of Pippo, the sexton, who has somehow managed to get a part in a theater play, and now thinks that he'll be a famous actor soon! (Title of the episode: 'Paura in palcoscenico')

Pippo felt sad that Natalina treated him so badly. Don Matteo sits down to talk to him, trying to make him feel better (photo top right - click photos to enlarge)

After the scene is finished, Terence and the crew pose for some 'end of a hard work day' photos.

Today's filming takes place at an equestrian center. The horses are in their stables, and as you can see on the photo on the left, the stables are on fire!

In this episode (working title: 'Aliseo & Amleto', final title: 'In amore non é mai troppo tardi') the Carabinieri have to solve the mystery about how the stables could catch fire in the first place. Or did someone set the fire on purpose?

Don Matteo tries to save the horses from their burning stables, but one horse can't be found - and a little boy is missing... Did he lose his life in the flames or could he save himself?

Even Maresciallo Cecchini, played by Nino Frassica, is puzzled by this crime, but still manages to smile for the camera during a break. Then it's time to touch up his make up and to get ready for the next scene.
