The
weekly Italian youth magazine 'Il Giornalino' now publishes
the adventures of Don Matteo, the popular priest detective
of Italian TV, played by Terence Hill, as a comic strip.
The comic strip's images were drawn by Paola Camoriano,
the stories are based on the episodes shown on TV. Script
writer Paola Ferrarini will also invent new adventures for
the magazine.
The issue of 'Il Giornalino'
featuring the first 'Don Matteo' comic strip was published
on April 18, 2004 and contains a short interview with Terence
Hill. "Il Giornalino has always used comic strips to
introduce positive characters to young people" says
Antonio Sarzia, director of the weekly magazine. "The
idea to use the adventures of Don Matteo in comic strips
came from the popularity of this character, which is loved
by people of all ages." |
